Q & A

1. From what age can one wear an innersole?
Flat feet in children are fairly common because their bones and joints are still extremely flexible. Most children outgrow the condition by age six. If this problem continues it may be necessary to examine the child and start with strengthening exercises, If the problem continues and the child complains of pain in the feet, ankle, knees, hips or back, or have chronic sports injuries, it will be necessary to make orthotic innersoles. The innersole comes in size 2-13.
2. Can my innersole only be worn in one pair of shoes?

Because the innersole is not attached to your shoes, one can move them between different pair of shoes. In sandals it will work best if the sandal has a closed heel, or a pump type of shoe.

3. do I need to buy new shoes to wear my innersole in?

If your current shoes are old and worn down, it will be best to replace the shoes, as the innersole will not be able to compensate for the damage of the old pair. If however, the shoes that you already have are still in good condition, you will not need to replace all your shoes.

4. How often do i need to replace my innersole?

On average your innersole will last 1.5-2 years. There are a few people that are hard on their shoes, who might need a new pair sooner. Growing children will also need new innersoles sooner, depending on their growth rate.

5. What will i need to bring to the appointment?

Please bring at least two pairs of shoes with you to your appointment, so that we can make sure that you will be able to move them between pairs without issues.

6. How do i care for my innersole?

Let the innersoles air out between uses. To clean them, brush or wipe them with a damp cloth. Please do not machine wash them, or expose them to high heat.

7. How do i start to wear the innersoles?

Start wearing the innersoles gradually. The innersole may activate muscles that have not worked in some time, and may cause some temporary discomfort. Start wearing them a few hours a day, and after a week or so gradually increase the time until you wear them as much as possible.

8. Must i wear my innersoles all the time?

Ideally you should wear the innersole as much as possible, there may be times that the shoe or occasion does not allow for it, but ultimately the more you wear them the better your improvement will be.

9. What do i do if I have ongoing pain or tender spots?

Although this is not a common occurrence, it may happen. It may just be part of the adjustment period. It may be necessary to hang on for a few days to see if the problem goes away. If not, please contact the supplier where you had your innersoles made, an adjustment may be needed.
